Firsts

Hey all five people who are reading this! haha This is my first post and my first review.

SO just to give you a general idea before I get to the review: I am going to review quite a few things here. Generally this blog will be reviews, unboxings and tutorials. General topics :eating/cooking, fashion, hair, make up and cats. Maybe even share a little insight into my work (VFX). Though if you want to know more then what and where I'm working this might not be the blog for you. I don't intend to have any informational tutorial for nuke or vfx here. It's more my side life then my work life.   

Some general goals: I will make this currently horribly designed blogged in to something much prettier. I maybe also rename it and create a bio for those of you reading this who don't know me. In the near future I'd like to set a schedule of how often I will blog and I will try to have something up those days. In the further future I might make videos, move this to a professionally designed page. Generally be a little more professional if people enjoy what I have to say. I would love constructive advice as I go along. Obviously I know it's the internet so I'm bound to get a mix bag of things. Haha

SO my first Review will start with Kira Kira Crate. It is from Japan Crate. It is their first month doing this crate so I'm assuming their still experimenting as much as I am with the crate. I should also mention this is NOT a paid review. I purchased the Crate myself and this is 210% my own opinion.  Though if Japan Crate wants to sponsor me in the future I would gladly take it ;).

I got the crate 10 dollars off my first month with a code. so the total was about 20usd including shipping. Which isn't far off from my other current subscription IPSY (which I will also have a review for later).

Japan Crate currently doesn't have any loyalty or points program for sharing which would be good for people blogging, like myself in the future. I know they are working on it and I look forward to seeing the results. I love the design. Though Kimi wasn't thrilled with the size. She couldn't fit into it.  The colour choices are very nice. I generally do not get subscription boxes anymore other then Ipsy but this one I couldn't resist!I love make up and products from Asia. It's great for those who have sensitive skin.

 

It comes with a little booklet that tells you what each other products are and how to use them. Which is also great for people that cannot read Japanese. They promise that you get around 50USD in value. Below you can see the products that come in the first box and roughly they cost to purchase on the internet.

 

Naive Face Wash  - 5 USD

Choosy Lip Mask - 1 USD

 

Yuzu Bath Tablet- 1USD( 20 USD for a pack of 20)

Family Honey Soap - 2 USD

Hot Eye Masks - 10USD

So total 34 USD (not including shipping) which isn't exactly what they promise in a box. I will say some items I will not use(the single lashes). This is the downfall of most subscription boxes unfortunately. The benefit of this one for those of you that like make up and skincare you get to try things you wouldn't normally buy or find in store. Even if you are like me and own many Japanese and Korean make up products there is still just tons you don't know about.

I would say that I'd prefer a little more of a mix (which is coming next month already by the looks of things) 

Now for a slight review of the items in the box (This obviously doesn't have anything and everything to do with the quality of the box haha)

Naive Face Wash

OMG this is the best soap I've used in a while and I know my Cleansers. I generally use Glam glow's green cleanser but once I am finished I think i'm going to switch to this. This cleanser is amazing. My face looked psychically smoother just after one wash. As you can see from above there are several other kinds. I will try them all!


Hello Kitty Eye sheets

LOL other then being cute football markings, I'm not quite sure what these do. They are adorable and I've used them 3 times now and I can't say I've noticed a single difference. I would stick to the 6 dollar sephora under eyemask. These were a very cute fail.


Hot Eye Masks

   

These masks promise to help with eye strain and relax you. Once I managed to get it on my face properly it did just that. They last about 20 minutes and come in 5 designs. I was a little sad they didn't sit like a Sailor V mask . I ended up using hair clips to place it on my face properly.



Glossy Lip Mask
 

PREPARE FOR THE THINGS OF NIGHTMARES!!! haha OMG This mask was hilarious thank goodness I tried this at home alone. I kinda wish this was made for the entire face because it makes you look like a plastic doll. It would be great for Halloween.

   

Beyond this My lips get extremely dry in the winter so this came at the perfect time. Unfortunately I think it just wasn't strong enough to handle that. It did leave my lips softer and smelling like peaches though.

What about the rest of the other products????? I haven't tried them yet and some may end up as gifts.

Overall:

Try it! I am for sure doing December. I look forward to seeing the next month and if it's worth sticking with this box. I am pretty happy with it so far. Which is saying a lot because I have tried several subscription boxes.

UPDATE: 
I stopped Kira kira. It was NOT worth the money and an overall disappointment. Most of the time the box is worth way less then what you pay.
