Pur-lisse Brand - Hit or Miss?

Hey Everyone!

Hopefully no one is sick of reviews yet because I have sooo many more. This one will be on Purlisse. Which SPOILER ALERT... I love but I will be fair and here are my thoughts of everything below!

This is not a paid review. I bought everything myself..but if Pur-lisse wants to send me thing ;) I'm open.

Pur-Lisse

Quicky Review (out of 5 ❤) :
Price: ❤❤❤
Quality: ❤❤❤❤❤
Value: ❤❤❤❤

Overall Pur-lisse products are awesome! I discovered them through IPSY originally. Currently the only place you can find them is on their own site as far as I know. Their site is based in america despite some products being made in Korea. The bad thing about their indie website is the cost of their shipping outside of the USA is outrageous at 30USD.  So if you are ordering from them I highly recommend doing it in a group or ordering your monies worth. I would also say that their products are on the mid- high level price range.

Pur-lisse is not only cruelty free but also Vegan. So not animals were harmed to make their products. One of the other most notable things about pur-lisse is that they make an entire line for sensitive skin.

I have used multiple other products from them through ipsy but today we will focus on 3 main ones I've purchased recently. Two which were repurchases and one that was new. I will also add I didn't purchase these directly from their site as they were at the Toronto Genbeauty and my cousin Krysti kindly picked them up for me at their con discounted price ;) I paid a total including shipping of about 100CAD for these 3 products. Which is pretty big discount. If I had ordered directly from Purlisse's site it would have been 215CAD plus duty and taxes at the border. Which is out of control pricing wise to me an my budget.

( I apologize some of these photos turned out quite dark trying to avoid reflections.)

BLUE LOTUS ESSENTIAL DAILY MOISTURIZER SPF 30

Quicky Review (out of 5 ❤) :
Price: ❤❤
Quality: ❤❤❤❤
Value: ❤❤❤

This lotion retails at a high price of 55USD. link here. Which is it's only major flaw in my opinion.
On Purlisse's site they say this moisturizer will:

~Blue Lotus extract is a powerhouse antioxidant with anti-inflammatory benefits known to combat against free radical damage
 ~White Tea calms sensitive skin
~Soy Proteins keeps skin soft & supple ~Algae Extracts helps retain moisture and promotes skin radiance
~Vitamin E prevents premature aging and improves skin texture
 ~Non~greasy & non
~whitening formula allows for under makeup perfection

This is a repurchase for me. It really does all of what it says (I can't really speak for anti aging and vitamin e effects as they are something in a lot of products I use). I really like this moisturizer as it really doesn't make your face feel greasy and it doesn't break me out. Also being pale, I'm pro anything with sun protection it in. There is a faint scent but I think is pretty natural and could be from the ingredients.

The package is lovely. The boxes are reflective and look very high end. The tubes are fairly basic and always have the signature flowers on them. Most their packaging seems to be white/blue/purple. I do appreciate that it is in a tube which makes in more hygienic then pots.

Honestly, if it was a bit cheaper this would be a holy grail item but because of the price and it only being available through their site (add duty and taxes) it's just a tad expensive to be my number 1 moisturizer despite me loving it.

BLUE LOTUS SEED MUD MASK + EXFOLIANT

This mask retails at 52USD, Link here. Which is an average price but still very much on the high end. It would be comparable to something like Glam glow in price.
~Blue Lotus extract is a powerful antioxidant known for it’s anti-inflammatory benefits
~White Clay tightens skin & purifies pores
~Bamboo improves skin texture
~Ginger detoxifies
~Mushroom extract helps to brightening skin tone
~White Tea soothes skin
~Rice Bran Water improves skin texture

This mask is great! It's very similar to the Green Glam Glow mask. It has little bits in it to exfoliate your skin as you rinse it off. It is gentle on the skin and your face will definitely feel instantly softer after use. Like all pur-lisse products I've tried they really do offer what they promise. My skin feels softer and smoother. It doesn't cause break out and soothes the skin. (I can't say it's done anything to improve my acne situation)

The packaging is cute and simple. I appreciate that it is in a tube as mentioned above why. I like the calming blue/purple.

The product works great with sensitive skin and is gentle enough to use multiple times a week (maybe even every day). There is a small scent but nothing overwhelming and I think is pretty natural and could be from the ingredients. The texture is buttery but not greasy.

Overall I think this is a great mask and very comparable to glam glow. Again the only reason I wouldn't reach for it every time is it's expensive to get from the USA. I absolutely love the quality and would love for them to be a bit more international friendly.

BB TINTED MOIST CREAM SPF 30

Quicky Review (out of 5 ❤) :

This product oddly is much cheaper then the others. at 35USD. Link here. Which is about average for a foundation or BB cream. On the site it claims:

" Your beauty balm that glides on like tinted moisturizer with all the age-defying, coverage, sunscreen benefits of a foundation and BB cream! Featuring our exclusive Asian Herb extracts complex, Chamomile & Artemisia soothes skin while Sugar Maple improves skin's appearance and retains moisture to create a gorgeous & glowing complexion"

I have to say after using this a couple times now this may be my summer foundation. It's a light to medium coverage. I got the shade light which seems to be perfect for me (this year I've been walking to work in the summer so my skin is a tad darker then it would be in the winter) If you are any paler then me there probably isn't a shade for you and I will also say I saw the medium and it's QUITE a  bit darker then the light so the shade range is sort of strange. I don't think the dark is so dark that really tanned skin could use it either. Keep in mind it's sort of the normal range for an Asian brand but being located in the USA they should offer more for both m paler and darker friends. The colour as you can see from below has a nice neutral undertone so both pink and yellow undertones should be ok to use it.

The packaging is similar to others of the brand. I will say this is my least favourite colour. I know they were going for natural and possibly to match that it's got colour in it would have been nicer if it was their usual blue/purple and white.  I do appreciate that it is in a tube again

I love this product though. It doesn't break me out and is very light on the skin. Its not matte but not too shiny either. It's just great! It covers up minor blemishes and a redness. I don't think it needs to be set as it's a BB cream but it can be on greasier areas. If you're heavy in break outs or any major issues with your skin you may want to add some concealer into the mix.  This is definitely not a full coverage.

It contains spf so you can easily wear it alone. It can be wore with or without primer. I used a beauty blender and it applied nicely. It also works well using your hands or a dense brush.

I will definitely be re-buying this for sure. I love love love it!

Below is a look I did inspired by Larme I used Purlisee BB cream. I hope you Like it. (full list of make up used below) Please note that the Nars products I used I purchased before they decided to stop being cruelty free and though I definitely  strive to go completely cruelty free I am not a millionaire who can throw things away.
