General Thoughts and Craziness of December

Hey Everyone,

I've sort of dropped off the social media train in December. How people do Vlogmas is beyond me. Props to all of them! Maybe one year I could...

Anyways I just wanted to share some general thoughts and things with everyone because I've been so busy! December is always mental and with my other half working insane hours I'm sort of doing everything I can to help the stress level at home. December always feels like this rush, the good thing about is it flashes by!

Ebates

If you are like me you are already done your Christmas shopping (in fact I only bought 1 thing passed black Friday). I wanted to share this because even if you're done shopping you should sign up! Ebates is this magical service that gives you money back. There is no catch, just use their link to shop and you get money back. So far I've gotten about 80 dollars back. My cousin told me she used it for Christmas shopping and made 50 bucks!

You can connect paypal or a bank account to get your money. They deposit money every 3 months or so. There really isn't much to it. haha the hardest part is remembering to use their links. December is Crazy!

This is where the post gets long! December is filled with insanity! Christmas parties, Daniel's Birthday, Shopping, Events, Christmas and then New years. It's always overloading. Which is probably why everyone feels like a sloth January 2nd. Now we are less then a week from Christmas. Anyways I want to share a Few bits from this month with everyone since I have been gone for a quite a bit.


Daniel's Birthday

  

Cake is from whole foods. It was WAY too sweet haha. The candles were fun though. We often don't take a lot of photos during events as we tend to more enjoy the experience then remember to take photos. Though I try. haha Just a couple quick pics from dinner. No the best place, I wouldn't recommend it. I think we might have to go back to his usual choice of The Keg for dinner next year.

Christmas Tree and Decorations

 

Haha Our house doesn't have much in terms of decorations but I wanted to go for White, Copper, Golds, and Blue sort of theme. This goes with our current living room and our general house style. It's pretty simple. I got most of the decorations at London Drugs, Canadian Tire and Michaels. The ugly reindeer is a joke I got at save on and the beautiful mirror is from Homesense. 

 

As you can see the Cats really liked sleeping under the tree. Now there are too many presents and the reindeer. It will be cleared soon. Christmas is less then a week away! Kimi also really loves the paper and of course the boxes so I'm sure Christmas will be Christmas for them too. haha

Decorating at Work

  

   

At work we had a room decorating contest at work. Our room decided making our theme "nightmare before comp" A joke about our department and a play on words to our theme. Nightmare before Christmas. It was a great group effort and we actually won the contest ^_^

Winter Sale at Work

  

  

On the 13th we had a sort of craft sale in which you could sell things you made and other unique things. I decided to mostly focus my efforts on baking. Though I did draw a couple cute stickers too.
All my baking was Vegan. As someone who isn't vegan, it was a bit of trial and error but it's nice to have recipes for the future I can use (I am lactose intolerant and I am trying to consume less animals) If you're interested in learning some of my recipes and secrets let me know!

I took all my profits from this sale and from my clothing sale and donated it to the BC SPCA. I was super happy to be able to donate 150 dollars. Thank you again to everyone who bought things from me.

Over this past weekend we went to Daniel's work Party. I didn't take any pictures at the event (haha again) or even a good outfit photo but I had a couple snaps from before the even and as I was getting ready. I was having bad allergies that day, I was not crying I promise! (of course the day after my eyes are fine -_-' )

That's my December so far, I am going to try to Vlog a bit of the end of December. My parents are here and we will be doing a bunch of interesting things in in the Vancouver area. Before that I should have a few Videos up for the end of this year. I want to put up my 2017 favourites but I have a feeling that it'll be 2 videos as I have a lot. I should have at least a Blog up every week for now on and I still have a TON of video plans that just haven't happened yet.
